A key part of what we do when we come across electrical or electronic repairs is PAT Testing. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the process of routinely checking electrical appliances for safety through visual inspections and electronic tests to ensure they are safe to use.
When an item that needs testing is brought in for repair, as part of the registration process, we’ll put it through our PAT testing, using a SeaWard Apollo 400+ tester, a machine donated to us by SeaWard. Only when it has been tested we’ll we attempt a repair, and we’ll also repeat the test once a repair has been successfully completed.
